National Quality Registry for Brain Tumours

Registry category: Cancer diseases

Certification level: 2

Central personal data controller (CPUA): Region Västerbotten

About 1,200 new cases of tumours in the central nervous system (CNS) are diagnosed in Sweden every year. The survival rate for those diagnosed with brain tumours varies considerably depending on diagnosis, though a general trend of improvement has been seen since the end of the 1970s. The objective of the Brain Tumour Registry is to cooperate with regional healthcare programmes to help improve care for patients with brain tumours and to provide data for quality assurance, national statistics and clinical studies.

Note: Variable lists are updated on a regular basis and should therefore be seen as preliminary. For the latest version, please contact the registry.
