Request for Proposals: Migration and Forced Displacement Expert

SALAR International is searching for qualified experts on Migration and Forced Displacement for potential assignments in different countries, as part of a framework contract which it has been awarded by the European Union. Potential assignments will be awarded on an ad hoc basis in request to calls by EU Delegations.

Roles assigned to SALAR International under the framework contract are expected to focus on two key areas: Support for refugees’ or their host communities’ access to municipal and basic services, including health, education, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), shelter and settlements, and social protection, and Support to advanced planning, operational and administrative capacity building for strengthened migration management.

Key responsibilities encompass policy and programme development and implementation, wherein the expert will guide efforts to analyze and understand the needs, challenges and opportunities of refugees and host communities, contributing to the development and implementation of policies aimed at ensuring access to essential services such as healthcare, education, WASH, shelter, and social protection, as well as support to local economic development, livelihoods and social cohesion, at the local level. Experts may also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of programmes aimed at enhancing stakeholders' capacity in migration planning and management. He/she will provide technical assistance, ensuring adherence to international standards and best practices.

The expert will be provided with comprehensive details regarding the number of days and the duration of the project once specific assignments are announced.
