Your path to employment

This website contains information about how a person with educational credentials from a country outside the EU and EEA can gain employment in Sweden in his or her profession in the education, health and care sectors. This can relate to professions such as doctors, dentists, nurses, teachers and preschool teachers, for which there is a great need in schools, hospitals and eldercare.

This website is primarily directed to employers, supervisors and instructors in municipalities and regions who require information and assistance in order to be able to offer internships, practical experience, instruction or employment to persons with foreign education and professional experience from abroad.

In addition, those with foreign educational credentials can find useful information about what is required in order to be able to work in their respective professions. This includes information about how to obtain various Swedish professional licences, which are required in many professions in the fields of school and healthcare.

You can do this by clicking on the icon marked “undertexter” (subtitles) at the bottom of the window displaying the film, choosing “översätta automatiskt”(automatically translate) and choosing a language. Try it out by watching this video:

You can’t search for a job on this website, but you can at the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen).
