Helena Adlercreutz holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Uppsala University, Sweden specialized in democratic governance and public administration. She counts with more than 14 years’ experience of international development cooperation working for the EU, the UN as well as for public, private and non-profit organizations. She has lived and worked in several developing countries in Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

A development generalist her thematic experience includes sustainable social, economic and democratic development, education, civil society, human rights as well as disaster risk reduction, renewable energy, urban development and environment. She has in-depth experience of results based project management, including strategy and analysis, programming, developing project proposals, building and managing international teams of experts, quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation. In addition she has worked with communications and capacity building, as well as organized large international conferences.
