Yama Omari is a Project Manager at SALAR International. He has more than 14 years of professional experience in the management and coordination of international development cooperation in South Asia (Afghanistan), North Africa (Tunisia) and Europe (North Macedonia). Having worked for entities such as the EU, the German Development Cooperation, as well as private and non-profit organisations, he has been engaged with multi-cultural and dynamic teams of professional experts.

As a development generalist, he is highly experienced in managing and designing projects and programmes in support of peace and state-building, local democracy, local economic recovery, municipal governance, migration and (re)integration, as well as policy dialogue in low- and middle-income countries. His success and professional achievements are backed by his Bachelor in economics from Balkh University of Afghanistan, MBA in International Management from Donau-Krems University of Austria, as well as various executive trainings in management and leadership related topics.
