Baraa Khalil Mohamad

Baraa has several years’ experience in landscape planning, environmental engineering, and sustainability. She has lived and worked in numerous countries in the Middle East, Europe, and Scandinavia, bringing a global perspective to her projects. This international experience has improved her ability to understand and address environmental challenges across different cultural and geographic contexts.

Baraa holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in landscape engineering. Further education in environmental communication in Sweden enriched Baraa's ability to collaborate, engage in open dialogue, and facilitate initiatives with diverse stakeholders. This academic background is complemented by various executive trainings in management and leadership-related topics. Baraa’s practical experience as a civil engineer involved navigating projects that demanded effective project management skills, from coordinating resources to ensuring timely completion. Additionally, Baraa's five-year role as a teaching assistant at a university in Syria provided extensive experience in conducting lectures and workshops. This role significantly honed her presentation skills and deepened her passion for education.

She has developed strong skills in landscape planning, climate change, sustainability, geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial planning, and data analysis. She is proficient in a diverse range of tools and methodologies to analyze spatial data and produce high-quality reports and analyses, both qualitative and quantitative.
